a.k.a. Carina | | Carina was born during a Swingin’ Armani’s show at the Coffee Gallery in Altadena a couple of years ago. Karen was asked to join the group and sing a few songs, injecting some female energy in to the Godfather-themed evening It became clear that calling “Karen” to the stage just didn’t sound Italian enough. Don Codioni (Cody Bryant) agreed, and “Carina Mitchellini Armani” was born (the story goes that she married into the Armani family, a few times, and is from Northern Italy - thus explaining her blonde hair). Since that night, there was no turning back....Karen and the band loved the name and it stuck. Now Karen is always known as Carina whenever she sings with Cody and the guys.....
